MAD People in Kenya Exposed

MAD in Kenya is a small and personal family gap year business, run by Katy and Gareth Roberts (as seen paddling in Lake Rutundu on Mount Kenya).

Katy, our Projects Director, is passionate about ensuring that all MAD gap year students receive a well planned and structured placement. She also ensures high standards of safe and secure in-country support.

Katy is British and has previously taught at some of the top private schools in Kenya and the UK.

Gareth, our Adventure Director, has developed our fantastic unique safaris and rafting adventures, giving the chance for MAD gap year students to explore and discover this beautiful country.

Gareth is also British and previously worked as Regional General Manager, for one of Africa’s largest companies.

Both Katy and Gareth have travelled widely themselves and have first-hand experience of living and working in Kenya. They are critical in planning a safe trip for MAD gap year volunteers in Kenya. They are always on hand to ensure that you are supported from the time you sign up to the time you touch down on home soil.

They are MAD in Kenya – because they like to “Make A Difference” in Kenya.
